Look and see....

what my Little Guy is doing!

Watch this video of him. :D

Here's a picture of his blanket that Grandma made him...it's done all in crochet. :)

I love how she did it in shell stitch! :DThere is something about hand-made blankets that Micah just loves! :D
All dressed up in his car seat. :) He was dedicated this morning at church, so he had to wear his hat. lol
Isn't it sad how hard it is to get a family portrait done?! This was the best of Grandma's attempts this morning in the church foyer....
"Hmmm....maybe if I do a nose-dive through this armhole she won't notice I've escaped!"

Grandma with Micah...she had him laughing! :)

Grandma, Great Grandma, and Aunt Martha are leaving in the morning, and since they stayed at a hotel while they're here, we had to say good-bye to them this evening. :( It was a very short visit, but we had lots of fun! :D And, I've never seen Karah so outgoing as she was with Grandma! lol

*Pictures*

Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Great Aunt Martha got here yesterday afternoon, and we've been having a lot of fun with them! :) They're enjoying getting to hold Micah for the first time, and Karah and Grandma are so fun to watch together! lol At first she was a little shy of them, seeing as she doesn't see them but once or twice a year, but only after a few minutes, she was bringing her babies and clothes out for Grandma to see. :) And she and Grandma keep teasing back and forth...they are hilarious! Oh, Grandma gave Karah the blanket she made for Micah (she crochets baby blankets for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as twin size blankets for us...they are all beautiful!!), and I had her put it in Micah's bed after I picked him up. She promptly told him, "Micah, Great Great Great Grandma made a bwanket for you!" LOL Grandma got a kick out of that one... :D

Here are a few pictures. :) Beware...they got all mixed up when I was uploading them, so they aren't in order. lol

We girls have been going on walks down our lane the past two days...it's just the right length of a walk, and I love looking at the trees in the distance, and the open sky! :D It's so pretty....Anyways, here are some pictures from our walks. Moriah didn't go with us on the one today, because she was with Daddy getting a new computer (finally! Our old one is about 6 years old....and keeps giving us trouble...Dad is letting the boys use it for games though, and is going to get all the files off of it for Mom and I). :)

We put Karah in the stroller....I don't like having to carry her heavy little self after only having walked the length of our driveway! lol Besides, she'd rather ride anyway...

Sarah was taking *lots* of pictures...One of our neighbors lives behind all those trees. :)

The sky... :D

Not the best *generation* picture...but....
Four generations, left to right: Great Grandma, Moriah, Grandma, and Mama. :) Karah took this one...

Great Grandma calls having your picture taken "being shot". lol Would you believe she is 93 years old?? Mom found some of our number candles laying on the counter...there were two #1s, and a zero, and she said, "Grandma, for your 101 birthday, here's the candles!" I didn't catch her response, but it was rather funny, based on the laughter that I heard coming from the living room. :)
Karah took one of Daddy. :D
Sarah and I pushed Karah on the swings for awhile...I love her dress! :) It's so cute...
Karah, bearer of my cell phone, which we are required to have with us when we go on walks without an adult....

The sun. :)
Grandma with Micah...she can get him grinning soo quickly! :)
Great Grandma with Micah....
Great great Aunt Martha with Micah. :D He likes her...a lot! lol

More of the sky...lol

The land beside our house...
The sky again....

Our little lane...or at least part of it. :)

I have more pictures of Micah which I will post tomorrow. :)

*News*

Later this afternoon, my Grandma (Mom's mom...), Great Grandma (Mom's grandma), and Great Great (yes, that is two *greats*) Aunt Martha (Great Grandma's sister) will be here!!! :D They'll be here until Monday morning, and are coming to church with us on Sunday, when Micah will be dedicated. :) We haven't seen any of them except for Grandma in over a year, so we're very excited they are visiting! Even Micah...when Mama told him they were coming he started grinning. lol
It turns out my pictures may not be gone forever afterall! Daddy has the other computer set up so that it takes everything (mostly pictures...) off of the laptop when I put things on here, so the pictures may be on his computer...I just have to find them! lol And I thought I had tons of pictures....lol

Here are a few newer pictures that I just uploaded.....
:D I just thought this one was cute...I think Moriah took it. I never noticed how green Karah's eyes are!

Mom and Sarah made several (4!!!) large loaves of Challah bread! :D It is soooooo delicious!

Excuse the mess....it doesn't normally look this bad! Sarah and I moved her bed on top of my bed (both our beds are actually a bunk bed, but are able to be separated), so now she and I share a room. :) Karah has pretty much moved into Moriah's room, but her toys are still in mine. This picture shows you just how cluttered my room looks when Sarah and I are doing school (and Moriah is reading in there as well. lol)

My mantle and dresser has some added decorations....namely the addition of Sarah's porcelain dolls to my own collection. :)
Moriah was *supposed* to be doing schoolwork, but, apparently, she was taking pictures of *me* doing schoolwork. *rolls eyes* I think I was doing History...
She and I have been experimenting with different ways to do our hair...this is my favorite way to do mine now. :)
A back view...

Moriah :)
I've taken a fascination with capturing pictures of the sun. :D At least I don't have to actually look at it....
One of the plants beside our house....I'm horrid with plant names, so I don't know what it is, exactly. :)
I did Karah's hair the other day as well...it lasted all of 3 minutes... :/
Karah took this one. :)

And, in case you're about to have a heart attack because this post had no Micah pictures....I don't have any new ones of him yet.....note the word *yet.* I'm planning on doing a photo shoot extraordinaire with him later on today! :D
Until later.... :)

Happy Birthday Jeremy!!!

And once again, I'm one day late with my birthday post. *blush* Oh well....one day doesn't make much difference anyway. :)

Happy 14th Birthday Jeremy!!!

From your overly distracted sis...and the rest of our entirely "normal" family! ;) I think I had too many M&Ms last night...and too much Mountain Dew....and too little sleep! :)

Matching!!!

I've found something out about myself this weekend...I'm impulsive, daring, love to "cut it close", and (this one wasn't surprising for some reason...) I procrastinate...a lot! :) We've had this material (navy blue with beautiful purple flowers on it) for months now, just waiting for me to decide I'd finally sit down and sew it all into matching skirts/dresses for we girls! Mom wanted us to wear them to the wedding we went to yesterday, so we could have Cathy take our family picture for the year...Well....around Friday afternoon, I finally said to myself, "You know, you really should get those skirts done...after all...the wedding is tomorrow!!!!" So, all of Friday evening, I was frantically sewing mine and Karah's skirts, as well as Mom and Sarah's t-shirt dresses (I didn't have my shirt yet, so I couldn't make a t-shirt dress...which I didn't mind, because I prefer skirts anyway, oh, and Moriah stubbornly refused to let me make her a skirt...*sigh*). As I was working on Karah's skirt, she piped up and asked, "Nana, will you make me a matching shirt too?" Here is where my impulsive, cutting-it-close and daring side came in. ;) I thought, "Well, I think I have enough fabric...and I know I have a pattern for shirts....somewhere..." So, after I finished the skirts and dresses, I set to work finding the pattern (it was actually right where I'd last put it..no problem there), then began cutting out the pieces for it. Every. Single. Piece. Was barely able to be cut! I *barely* had enough fabric left over to cut out all the pieces...and thank goodness she didn't want the pockets! lol God knew my cute little sister, who is simply irresistable when she asks you to make something for her, would ask me to make that shirt, and He gave me just enough fabric to please her with it! :) And, for more of my cutting-it-close side...I finished cutting the last piece (no pun intended) just as Dad came in our room to sing our bedtime songs! :D (He has a song for each of us that he sings each night after devotions and before we go to sleep...) And, I finished *sewing* the top just minutes before we had to leave yesterday morning...thanks to Mama! I was still in my pjs, nibbling on my breakfast as I worked, so after I finished making the buttonholes (my first time doing those...on the machine...) she took it voluntarily and sewed on the buttons so I could get dressed and finish my breakfast. :) I didn't eat much yesterday...just my breakfast (which was a huge piece of cinnamon bread-cake) and a piece of cake at the wedding...which is probably why I had a headache yesterday, but you didn't want to hear about that.... ;)

Anyways....I've made two nursing dresses for Mama so far...one in teal, and the one that matches we girls' skirts/dress (I have a matching teal skirt made from the left over material from her dress, which I will post later...). It's really simple, and Mom loves them! The way we do hers is: Find fabric that you like, and find a t-shirt that goes with it well....it can either button down, or be a regular t-shirt: doesn't really matter. Also, I used, for her teal one, a white tank top. Cut the fabric so that it's long enough (allowing for a one-inch hem and one inch for the gathering/seam), and add about a foot to a 1/2 yard to your waist measurement for the width of it. Hem the skirt, and sew the side seam, then gather the top part until it and the tank top lower edge match up as far as width. Then, sew the skirt to the tank top (for Mom's I had to sew the skirt part a little higher than the bottom edge of the tank top, so the other shirt would cover the tank-top). After that, I made two slits in the front of the tank top for Mom to be able to nurse, and this is what it looks like when she wears it:

Sorry if that was a little confusing! lol I'll probably post step-by-step instructions for it later on, with pictures... :)

Karah and I with our skirts....this was before she asked for the shirt. ;)
Karah and I in our outfits...I borrowed Moriah's shirt to be able to match Sarah. :)

Sarah's t-shirt dress...

I don't have pictures of my teal skirt, or of Mom's matching dress, but I'll get pictures later this week! :)

*Wedding Bells*

This afternoon we went to Cera and Josh's wedding! :D I've got lots of pictures to share with you...They've gotten mixed up a bit as I'm uploading them, but anyways...

Sarah, Karah and I were wearing matching outfits...Mom bought some really pretty navy blue with purple flowers material, which I've used to make Sarah another t-shirt dress, myself a skirt, Karah a skirt and matching top, and I'm going to make Moriah a skirt as well...maybe...

Ah! Here's the new couple....Josh and Cera (Dad gets credit for this one..). Their colors were black, red and white (NC State colors...boo!). She is so pretty!

Mom took hold of the opportunity to get a picture of all of us kids together, while looking nice. lol L to R: Sarah, Josiah, Moriah, Judah, me holding Micah, Karah and Jeremy. :) A bit sunny... :)

In the garden there's a small pond with goldfish in it. :D

Mr. Michael with Michala. :D She is soooo cute!
Karah....
This is how he spent most of his time...."weddings are boring" says he. :)
Mrs. Judy (or her close friend Mrs. Thetis...I'm not sure which one of them) made this for them. :)
Karah got this one of Rachel :D

Standing behind the little pond....that open area is where the wedding was. :)
Karah with her buddy, Zack. All the little ones were fascinated with the pond...fortunately, none of them fell in!
Some of the roses....
Cathy striking a pose....when I first saw this one, I thought Mrs. Julyn (in the background) was actually a statue! lol
Josh and Cera after they cut the cake...

Karah and Judah....looking at the fishies. :)

The pond....
Ha ha....after the ceremony this plane with a Geico ad trailing behind it kept flying overhead. :)

Karah took this one of Mom, Dad and Micah...
I know it's blurry, but I couldn't resist adding it...On the right, is Mr. Michael and Little Michael, as they walked back down the aisle...Little Michael wasn't supposed to, but I guess he was sick of the ceremony, so when he saw his Dad leaving, he decided he was going too! lol
Dad, Mom, Micah, and Jeremy in the background...

Michala....
Mrs. Julyn and Michala
Rachel, Josh, and Cathy....the three Hunt sibs. :)
