Little girls and flowers....

Since I hadn't yet done any photographing (or, rather, extensive photographing) of our English Irises and the Azaleas, this afternoon Karah and I ventured outside to take some pictures. :) Here are some of them;

..............................................................................Karah.........................................................................

One of the "blue" irises.....they're called blue, but they really are purple. :D

And another one.................

And here's a yellow one.......................

Two side-by-side.....................

And here's a top view......I love how the petals that fold out look like hearts. :)

And Karah with some of the flowers she picked...................

Karah again.............................

Some of the azaleas..................

A top view of this cluster of azaleas

A bud of azaleas.........
And another one....................

And that's it! :) I may have some tomorrow, but I don't know for sure. Enjoy these for now! :)

Candid and cute pics of my family

Here's some pics from yesterday and today. :)

Karah.....being Karah! lol She's always (well, except for when she's angry......lol) ready to have her picture taken!! :)

I don't know if you can really see it or not, but Buddy is sticking his tongue out at Sarah in this picture. lol I didn't even realize I'd gotten this until I uploaded the pics to the computer. :) Moriah is behind him............

And Karah, Sarah and Buddy together. :)

Now I've got to get another post ready! :) I'll try to write out a longer post tomorrow to catch up on what we've been doing lately!

All the skirts are finished!!

Well, except for mine and my Mom's....I still have to sew the hem on them, because even though the bottoms are already sewn, the material has been rolling up, so we have to sew hems. But otherwise, they are wearable.....hehe, I've worn mine half of yesterday and all day today! lol And Sarah and Karah have been wearing theirs a lot too. :) This afternoon we went outside to take pictures of us in our skirts! :D

Ok, not a picture of the skirts, but you can see Karah's shirt that I made her, and the yellow blanket with red and teal flowers is the one she got when we bought the skirt material. :) She loves her blanket! lol

Jeremy took this picture of we girls and my Mom.....Mom is, of course, the one in the teal shirt, then Moriah, then myself, and Karah and Sarah are in front. :) Mom's skirt has slightly different material, but it's the same style as we girls.

We girls in ur back yard....Moriah on the right, then Karah, Sarah, and I'm in the back.

My Mom and my sisters....Mom wasn't too happy when I asked her to get down on the ground, so she only kneeled. :)

Moriah and Buddy! :D So cute together......hehe

And finally, Karah and Sarah. :)

I'll have some more pictures of some of my projects later on this coming week...and maybe I'll post some of one of my stories that I've been working on. :)

Skirts!!

Today I have been working on the skirts I mentioned earlier today. It was a challenge, a bit frustrating at times, but lots of fun! :) My seam ripper got quite a bit of use..... Judah and Karah thought it was very interesting to watch me rip several yards of seams. *sighs and smiles* My fingers are a bit sore from being poked by the pins and seam ripper, but I'm getting better at using them without hurting myself. :) I was able to complete Karah's skirt and made a matching shirt out of the extra material. :) Tomorrow I'll finish the rest of the skirts......hopefully! Lol On to the pictures:

Cutting the material.......................................................

Sarah was the photographer for all of these pictures......she loves taking pics of me without my knowing it. *rolls eyes and smiles*

Oh, hehe, now that I think about it, this was actually yesterday.....I cut all of the material yesterday, and pinned, sewed and all that today. :) My shirt reminded me....lol

Still cutting....................................

And cutting...................................

And done! :)

Okay, the pictures must have gotten mixed up! lol

My "favorite" part; pinning!

Moriah's shirt did NOT match the skirt too well, but she was only modeling for me so...lol She was terrified that I would poke her, but so far I've only managed to poke myself. :)

And finally sewing them together!! :) I'm working on Karah's in these pictures...hers is the only one I've actually sewn so far.

And the finished products! :) As I was sewing the skirt, I saw the extra material from her skirt, and got an idea for a shirt to match it, and was able to put both together in under 3 hours. :) Here's a back view:

And a front view. :) hehe, you can see the laptop and me on here in the background. lol And my cheese nips. :D

Now Moriah and Sarah are really hoping I can make shirts for them as well....I don't think I'll have enough left over fabric, but Mom may be willing to get some more....lol

Anyhow, that is what I have been working on today......I've also worked on two other projects, but the recipients of the items may possibly read this blog, so I can't post pictures! :)

I know....

My posting has been kind of sporadic recently.....but I've been really busy!! :)
Yesterday, Mom, Moriah, Josiah, Karah and I went to Wally World (it's been awhile! lol) to get some pictures printed, and while we were waiting, we looked through their fabric to see what they had. We had been planning to go to Hancock's afterwards to get material to make matching skirts for we girls, but while at Wally World, Mom found some really nice denim material for skirts, that already has the elastic in the waist, so all I have to do is sew the hem and side seam! Yippee!! :D I was NOT ready to start sewing with elastic, so this'll give me some time to grab some confidence for doing it. ;) Karah also got some material for a blanket, which she loves! I'll be posting pictures of the progress of the skirts and her blanket on my knitting blog so be sure to check it out later today! :)

This afternoon, I helped the boys burn some of the fallen tree limbs and bark, and some of the leaves. (you wouldn't believe how many leaves we still have left to take care of!!). We have a couple of dead trees, and every time we get a pretty bad storm, huge branches fall off of them. So we had to chop some of those up....Jeremy took care of that, while Judah and I got stuck finding all the little pieces of wood.....and poor Judah (who was in charge of the wheel barrow) kept running into roots, so it took us forever to get that done! lol While the stuff was burning, we played tag, which was really interesting...Jeremy tripped every one of us, but it was literally impossible for us to trip him! And then, in the middle of the game, Buddy came waltzing over, carrying one of the Easter eggs in his mouth!! Apparently we didn't find all of them like we thought we had, because in the week and a half since Easter, we've found at least ten more eggs in our yard! lol Well, when I saw the egg, of course I immediately grabbed it, but then I noticed another egg over to my right, and so did Jeremy, so we both raced for it, then the other two boys joined in. I got to it first, and had it in my hands, but all three of the boys tackled me, and somehow got it out of my hands. And Josiah and Judah ended up landing on my back...again! lol So now my back is sore......but it was worth it for the two pieces of chocolate I got to eat! :D

Alrighty, I'm off to start on the skirts.......Oh, and ignore the time that Blogger says I posted this....it's actually 2:33pm right now. :)

Some of the project I'm working on........

To start, here are a few of the projects I'm working on, or have finished recently. :) Enjoy!

This is a cross stitching project I finished this past winter..... I had it in the hoop (which was the frame as well), but I need the hoop for another project I'm working on so......

This is the yarn I am using for Moriah's poncho (don't worry, she already knows I'm making it..). It's a really nice yarn, and I hope I have some left over to make something else with! :)

The yarn I'm going to make a shawl out of for one of my penpals' birthdays. :) It's very soft!!

I bought some Fun Fur yarn when Mom and I went to Hancock's, and I'm using the Cotton Candy one to make Karah another scarf. :) She loves scarves!! lol

I'm also very slowly making progress on a baby set for Micah, for whenever he gets here.....this is the bottom edge of the sweater.......

I'm using my scrap material to make some quilt blocks that I'll put together to make kind of like a calico quilt. :) This square isn't finished, I still have one more outer border to sew on, but it'll look about the same as it does now. :) I love the cat fabric! :D

I'm also working on a poncho for Sarah.....I was supposed to have it done by St. Patty's Day, but now it looks like it'll have to be for her birthday....as you can see below, I haven't gotten much done on it yet! lol

It's the same pattern I'm using for Moriah's poncho, here's an upclose view of it......

I'm making some baby doll scarves for karah's baby dolls (didn't I already say she loves scarves? lol) and this is one in progress, but almost finished.

I've also got two other projects I'm working on, but I can't post pictures of them yet. ;)
